Scott Sidor | Graphic Designer

Get in Touch:

Design has been a part of me for as long as I can remember.

Looking back on my childhood, I can see where I started on this path. I remember the little things like paying attention to the fonts used in the credits of my favorite movies, sketching my favorite sports teams’ logos all over my school papers, and teaching myself basic HTML coding to customize the colors in my first online profiles.

Design was always something I just did, but I never really thought about doing it as a career until the very end of my senior year of high school. I had been doing amateur design work for family and friends, as well as my own bands when the need arose; things like logos, t-shirts, flyers and web graphics. Thankfully, I had a friend (much smarter than me) who saw potential in the work I was doing and suggested that I apply to art school for design. So I did, and got accepted to Pennsylvania College of Art & Design in Lancaster, PA. Four year later, I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

After graduation, I got married and moved to Pittsburgh for a year while my wife finished graduate school. While living there, I was blessed with my first opportunity as a graphic designer working at an advertising agency in downtown Pittsburgh. It was a great launching point into my career, and it was there that I gained my first experience working for real clients around the world.

After moving back home to York County, I began working for a startup printing company, which was an offshoot of a growing copier dealership. While working there, we transitioned from a printing company to a design and marketing agency. Then, as the copier company grew rapidly, we became primarily an in-house marketing team to support its growth. Each phase provided a wealth of experience that led me to where I am today.

  • I’ve learned the ins and outs of printing.
  • I’ve stretched and refined my design abilities across all kinds of media.
  • I’ve created many brands from scratch.
  • I’ve rebranded several established and respected organizations.
  • I’ve built a wide variety of websites.
  • I’ve developed successful marketing strategies that have helped businesses grow.

Working for a small business, I also had to wear many hats. Beyond fulfilling client projects, I experienced just about every aspect of the process; building relationships, quoting projects, communicating directly with clients, production, billing, accounting, and yes, even delivering print jobs in my SUV.

Whatever project you may have in mind, I would be thankful to have the opportunity to discuss it with you to see if I would be a good fit for the job. If you would like to contact me, please fill out the contact form on this page or email me at scott@sidordesign.com.
